At Your Service Agent - Jeddah Marriott Hotel

General

· Have knowledge of hotel, and hotel services with hours of operation for all departments’

involved and surrounding areas. Have a thorough knowledge of guest rooms including

locations, views, amenities, features, types etc.

· Offer the hotel guests the best possible service through courteous and proper phone

answering script and procedure.

· Be an ambassador by promoting the hotel, restaurant, lounge, gift shops etc.

· Understanding various payment options and procedures of room service.

· Be able to give accurate directions and information regarding the immediate and

metro area.

· Handle all emergencies according to established procedures.

· Ensure all customer complaints are recorded in the Guest Response program in

a timely and professionally manner.

· Ensure all guest experiencing a problem receive an immediate response along

with satisfactory resolved, any promised compensation is delivered and all guest

receive appropriate follow up in a timely and professional manner.

· Ensure all individuals designated for follow up in the MOD report are copied on the

report and any other pertinent information available.

· Each associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management,

which the associate is capable of performing.



Food and Beverage

· Be able to use sales dialogue in selling room service menu, beverages and wines.

· Know culinary terminology.

· Know the gold standard brands.

· Be able to use the room service use records.

· Take all room service orders as outlined in the new hire guide.

· Have full knowledge of Micros and all functions.



Rooms

· Have knowledge of hotel rates, discounts and how to handle each

· Have working knowledge of reservations and PMS procedures. Know cancellation

and walk procedures

· Prepare wake up sheets, record the guest name and room number under the

wake up time requested. Repeat this information to the guest to ensure proper

handling of wake up calls in the morning

· Set wake up clock or input as request as they come in

· Take charges on any calls not received by the accounting system and post in PMS.



Additional Responsibilities

· Handle mail and messages as per outlined procedures

· Attend all scheduled departmental meeting

· Maintain cleanliness and neatness of work area

· Be familiar with and follow all hotel safety and accident prevention procedures
