Chief of Investment Officer

+ Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will play a critical role in developing and implementing the Investment strategy for the Company.

• The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) is responsible for the investment performance and the management of the Investment Division

• Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the executive management team.

• Conduct pre-screening of investment opportunities

• Undertake all financial reporting functions related to investments including preparation of budget projections and Zakaat compliance

• Ensure Investments are maintained according to regulatory and company requirements

• Communicate in a timely fashion with the relevant Board Committees on investment affecting the Company and ensure appropriate and timely disclosure of material information.



• Ensure that the investment operations being undertaken are in line with the Company’s image

• Represent the Company appropriately when dealing with clients or investors or any third parties

• Provide the Board with a summary of the Investment Plan on a periodical basis

• Periodically provide the Board with reports highlighting the financial stability of the business and notifying them of any foreseeable risk ahead.



+ Strategic Responsibilities:

• Design and implement investment processes for the Company.

• Devise Asset Allocation Strategies.

• The CIO oversees key aspects of the Investment program including internal asset management, external asset management, portfolio rebalancing, risk management and compliance.

• Review and monitor investment performance. Work with direct reports to ensure timely and effective decision-making, consistent with policy

• Seek new strategies to raise finance for Company’s and client activities

• Assess Company performance against both the annual budget and Wadi Jeddah’s long-term strategy.

• Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with Wadi Jeddah for profit’s strategic plan, especially as the Company seeks to obtain funding from public and private institutions.

• With the CEO, lead the growth of the business in a socially responsible manner.

• Ensure funding is available at all times to enable investment in promising projects.





+ Qualifications:

• CIO should possess extensive leadership experience in investment management, including formulating policies and directing diverse programs to achieve results

• Experience in similar organizations would be an added advantage.

• The CIO will ideally have the following experience and attributes:



 Graduate Degree, CFA qualification preferred.

 Experience in working in a “For-Profit” Company environment would be an advantage.

 Strong analytical skills and experience at converting a strategic vision into an operational model and creating a profitable business.
