ALJERIC Projects
Located adjacent to the Grand Mosque in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, Jabal Al Ka’aba is the site of the first 5* Anjum hotel. Undertaken in phases, the first phase, with nearly 1800 rooms, opens at the beginning of 2014: Phases 2 and 3, will represent a five-tower, 5,500 room expansion. When complete, the hotel will be one of the highest occupancy hotels in the world.
YALJ Projects
1) The Kaaki site is 155,000m2 giving a maximum development area of 658,750m2. The project program is for a large mixed-use residential village complex which will be developed in three phases. The project program is summarised as Multi-story, multi-family residential units consisting of a targeted 5000 3three star hotel apartments (15,000 rooms) with supporting retail, restaurants, clinic, mosque, car parking, gardens etc.
2) The Maghrabi Project, approximately 2.9km from Al-Masjid Al-Haram, is a 1500 three star apartments(3600 rooms) consisting of four 28 storey towers sitting on a podium. There will be 193,000 sq.m. of living space, with supporting reception and administration, food courts retail, bus station and parking.
3) There are seven future projects within Makkah and Jeddah, on land belonging to the owner which are in the early stages of design
Responsibilities
• Monitor, drive and report on project performance (including action planning / management)
• Coordination and control of project design information, requests for information and approvals to achieve construction
completion dates
• Ensure Consultants and contractors work and deliver outputs in accordance with their contracts
• Development and maintenance of Project Execution Plan
• Risk and opportunity management - maintain the Project Risk Register
• Development and implementation of effective risk mitigation actions
• Integration and co-ordination of project work packages
• Contribute to Project Reporting and updating Master Schedule
• Maintain project trackers and report on variances
• Ensure works are being delivered in accordance with the project Health and Safety requirements
• Management of contractor and consultant progress meetings to coordinate all information with consultant and
contractors for design and program to achieve completion target
• Assist the Commercial Team with estimating cost and monitoring expenditure including payment verification
• Manage Project contract issues and notices and assist the commercial staff accordingly
• Assist with execution of tender process including selection of suppliers and consultants as required
• Stakeholder Management
Constantly portray a professional image to colleagues, senior employees and Client in person and in all
communications;
• Promote and foster a strong, ethical, friendly and efficient team culture and working environment;
• Remain within the remit of the role and when additional responsibilities need to be carried out, conduct this in a fully
informed manner with the approval of your Line Manager;
• Constantly maintain an upmost level of confidentiality and discretion with all information pertaining to the business,
the Directors, information that you learn / obtain, colleagues and business activities in general;
• Ensure that the Sweett ethical policy and anti-bribery legislation is strictly adhered to;
• Implement and promote equality and diversity policy.
Initial KPIs: • Maintain continuous alignment of project scope with strategic business objectives, and make recommendations to
modify the Master Schedule to enhance effectiveness towards the business result or strategic intent.
