Reports to: Chief of Surgery
Responsible for: Interns, Residents, and other Senior Surgeons in the division.
- Liaises with: Works in close liaison with the operating suite and the PARR staff, the anaesthetists, the staff of the intensive care units, the surgical wards staff, the staff of the surgical outpatient department and the medical staff of the hospital.
- Job Summary:
The Consultant Plastic Surgeon is responsible for the care of all patients with problems related to the field of Plastic Surgery, including burns in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The Consultant Plastic Surgeon also performs preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care for all patients in the hospital with problems generally treated by Plastic Surgery, but will not perform those operations in the field of Plastic Surgery generally considered to be strictly cosmetic in nature, unless they are medically indicated, without first obtaining the permission of the Chief of Surgery and/or Medical Director. The Consultant Plastic Surgeon will treat all patients in accordance with the ethics of the medical profession and the laws and customs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Requirements :
Saudi Board, Arab Board, American Board, FRCP(C), FRCS, MRCP or its equivalent qualification recognized internationally with (6) years experience post high medical .degree in related specialty
