1. Perform the day-to-day activities of proposed engineering project in order to increase refinery processes, enhance plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards. Work on possible operational expansions.
2. Monitor in project office planning and scheduling functions, systems and procedures to ensure definition, determination of schedule status and progress, and analysis of schedule trends for effective project management.
3. Lead in generation and updating of estimates, allocation of contingency and escalation, project scope changes and transfers, value engineering estimates.
4. Assist in Project scope control, awarded packages performance monitoring and forecasting, maintaining trend log (Scope/Non Scope, Engineering and Packages Commodities).
5. Assist in surveillance of the work scope, basic engineering, detail engineering and construction to ensure adherence with best practice and scope.
6. Interface with the Project coordination unit, operations and maintenance team, to ensure facilities are operable and maintainable, and that the transition to operations is well planned and executed.
7. Assist in functional direction and maintain coordination with the Site Planners and Cost Controller
8. Assist in Contract administration duties to ensure that consultants, construction and/or EPC contracts are effectively and efficiently administered and that all contractual obligations are provided in timely manner.
9. Assist in review activities of contractor’s submission statements and material approval.
10. Assist in project administration, document management, correspondence, and drawings control.
11. Conduct frequent construction site visits to monitor method of execution and progress of project works.
12. Control and monitor project schedule, budget and performance.
13. Make recommendation for Final Acceptance Certificate.
14. Fully comprehend and adhere to relevant safety and environmental policies and procedures.
15. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
