Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Construction Engineer MEP (Saudi National) - Jeddah, Saudi
General Summary
This position is responsible for the leadership and management of project/program construction activities. This may take the form of direct responsibility to the client or being provided directly to the Project/Program Manager who maintains the primary client relationship and accountability. The incumbent is responsible for delivery of a construction task within a large construction project. This role has thorough knowledge of multiple subject areas or disciplines; understands how own area integrates with and impacts other areas; and is building understanding of business trends and industry issues and challenges. He/she provides motivation and direction to the task. Decisions have an impact on the resource requirements, scope/schedule/sequence of project activities, client and/or team satisfaction, risk profile, quality, health/safety/environment, and financial performance of a project.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Under general supervision, the individual competently performs aspects of construction management assignments.
Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of construction management techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Provides some technical guidance to construction supervision.
Specific desirable attributes
Experience in rectification and conversion of residential and commercial buildings from design through handover
Mechanical/ electrical/ plumbing background and experience
Basic Qualifications
Contractual requirements
Minimum years of experience: 10
Has experience in the building industry or similar industry and has project engineering experience on mega projects.
Coordinates with engineering discipline lead engineers to ensure on-time completion of work activities and the implementation of project control procedures.
Reviews and closely monitors project schedule and costs.
Must have thorough knowledge of project engineering practices, design details, international codes and standards, procedures and specifications.
