• Supervises and advises on the construction site, the subcontractors, crafts people and other related workman on site
• Surveys daily the site and prepares reports for management plus feedback on the contractors, subcontractors
• Responsible for conducting progress meeting with the company and the contractors. Checks plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations and ensures the quality standards of the site
• Ensures that all materials used and works performed are as per specifications and immediately reports for poor quality or missing items
• Checks on the price for materials, and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the project
• Manages and monitors on a daily bases, the contract design documents and reports any discrepancies to the respective contractor or subcontractor. Any changes needs to be in agreement with the architect responsible for the project
• Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project on a daily bases
• Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws
• Plans the work and efficiently organizes the site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines
• Oversees quality control, health and safety matters on site
• Resolves any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
