Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Manager coordinates the activities required to meet quality standards, and is responsible to ensure that the product and service provided is fit for the purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements, including customer expectations. The Quality Assurance Manager will monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system, produce data and report on performance, measuring against set standards, and implementing corrective actions and charting paths for improvement.
The Quality Assurance Manager will work with other managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the quality system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, will advise on changes and their implementation and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for the quality of work required by the contract. Shall plan, organize, control and execute quality tasks required under the contract, ensuring that work is completed in strict compliance with contractual provisions and shall implement a Quality Management System in accordance with the latest version of ISO 9001. The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure alignment and compliance with ISO9001 (latest version), CMMITM, Raytheon Integrated Product Development System (IPDS), and Customer Quality requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring that they are met;
Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers;
Making sure that production processes meet international and national standards;
Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff;
Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports to advise on the performance of the quality management system
· Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations
Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
· Contribute as a subject matter expert and serve as a mentor on the Quality Management System, including root cause, corrective action and internal audits to ensure effectiveness
· Support development, implementation, and analysis of quality measurements to improve organization and program performance
· Provide the cross-discipline interface with Engineering with particular focus on process and product quality, organizational improvement and CMMI.
· Drive continuous improvement through innovative improvements in IDS Mission Assurance methods and provide quality improvement expertise and leadership to adjacent functions.
