* 5+ years experience in MSMSQL DB administration
* Strong database performance tuning and trouble shooting skills
* Experience with DB software installation, upgrade and maintenance
* Experience in Design and implementation of large DBs
* Extensive experience with databases requiring high availability
* Extensive knowledge and experience of backup and recovery strategies
* Expert knowledge of performance monitoring and tuning,
* Extensive knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL
* Extensive knowledge of security strategies
* Experience with monitoring and providing performance solutions.
* Good experience with HP Open View products and services plus Control-M
* Experience in Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting
* In depth understanding of all aspects of networking
* Clear understanding of enterprise security policies
* ITIL awareness
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
* Demonstrated technical problem solving skills, proven leadership qualities, and a customer service focus.
* Proven ability to multi-task with rapidly changing work priorities is preferred.
* Ability to develop documentation and procedures.
* Ability to work within tight deadlines
