Job Description: Service Manager
Responsible for the organization of supervisors and crew for each project in an assigned area - either scheduled or unscheduled - the SM is an integral part of the GSII team. He/she will be partly responsible for the recruitment of suitably qualified manpower labor personnel. He/she will have responsibility for managing project and manpower costs, and for ensuring that the quality of supervisors and their crews' match customer expectations. He/she will effectively communicate with engineers, supervisors and customers via e-mail, telephone and through regular site visits. He/she will ensure that Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to at each assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and organizing the supervisors and crew for individual assignments
• Liaising with the EHS Advisor to ensure that all EHS and QC procedures are followed in his area of responsibility.
• Monitoring and control of project costs, including tooling, PPE and T&L expenses.
• Responsibility for the supervision and successful completion of each assigned project to the satisfaction of the customer. Work closely with the GE clients to successfully accommodate all business needs.
• Recruitment and selection of suitably qualified craft labor personnel on either short or long term contracts
• Keeping the Regional Leader and Management informed of any potential problems or issues arising from each project - specifically regarding project costs, EHS incidents, staffing problems and customer feedback.
• Provide problem solving and troubleshooting duties on an as-needed basis
• Administrative duties: Keep information accurate and update in various systems - Oracle, Power source, etc, in coordination with the Field Service Coordinator. Obtain complete job mobilization data, employee feedbacks, weekly manpower reports, assist with HR issues, employee safety records, Time and Expense review/approval, special projects, company initiatives, and other office related activities
• Any other duties, including assistance with sales, training, procedure writing and customer relationships that may be deemed appropriate to ensure the effective operation of the GSII office.
Accountability: The SM will report directly to the Region Business Leader and the Service Director with a dotted line to the ROW Operations Manager.

• Engineering degree from a reputable university.
• Strong Manpower leading skills
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Numerate and computer literate (Excel, Microsoft Outlook).
Qualifications:
Candidate will have at least five (5) years experience in a similar position. Previous experience in a supervisory-based role in an engineering environment is essential. Preferably with a Gas Turbine mechanical experience.
