1. Responsible for the monitoring of routine maintenance including control of Phase and Base maintenance, scheduled/unscheduled line maintenance, defect rectification, AOGs and aircraft rescue.
2. In-depth knowledge of aircraft's maintenance operation, ideally with a background in aircraft engineering or planning department.
3. Devise processes and systems to ensure all functions of MCC are correctly performed and adhered to.
4. Mentor and train where necessary Staff and constantly seeking to improve staff performance.
5. Ensuring proper coordination of parts requisitioning and parts shipping information by the Maintenance Operations Control staff.
6. In conjunction with the MCC Planning and the Maintenance Manager, the planning and scheduling of routine maintenance, work request items, special projects, and/or heavy non-routine jobs.
7. Making specific recommendations to the Maintenance Manager for correction of deficiencies and for improvements in the maintenance program.
8. Coordinating with maintenance facilities to ensure timely repair of items that require special tooling, expertise, or equipment not available.
