Reporting to the Director Finance, the Senior Accounting Manager will play a key role in managing the overall accounting operations of the companies in the group and will be the person in charge for the Company's day-to-day accounting operations. The position will be hands on, interact and coordinate with colleagues in Sales & Credit Control, Reporting & MIS and Treasury Operations and various other departments to ensure proper accounting treatment and execution of accounting functions. The Senior Accounting Manager will play a key leadership role in the Finance organization around change management, process improvement, scaling accounting infrastructures and operations, standardizing processes across the group and developing other accounting staff and positions.
• Directs and oversees group accounting operations, including general ledger. Reviews monthly schedules & statements and trend analysis to ensure that all results are properly posted and fully analyzed in a timely manner.
• Implement and maintain group accounting policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of efficiency and consistency.
• Support the Reporting & MIS operation as well as Director Finance with the preparation of reporting packages and other periodic reporting.
• Manage and mentor direct reports: accountant, accounting manager.
• Lead role in the ongoing maintenance of group internal control procedures (SOX) and identification of inefficiencies and implementation of process improvements.
• Responsible for maintaining group chart of accounts and report design for internal and external reporting.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiencies and enhance controls.
• Work closely with the Director Finance on implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs and information systems.
• Work with local agencies and auditors in the preparation of required statutory reporting.
• Responsible to furnish Zakat Statement for the group and to finalize assessments.
• Various special projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned.
