· Undertakes constant capacity management activities.
· Assists senior engineer in projects regarding monitoring systems as a part of any new Satellite Ground Segment.
· Takes corrective actions when alarms appear on monitoring systems for DVB channels (TV and radio) channels or leased capacities.
· Assists in planning for scheduled tasks like maintenance, change of equipment, platform, etc. so as to avoid interruptions in services provided to customers.
· Conducts routine check on the existing monitoring systems and participates, as an assistant to Senior Engineer, in projects related to new or upgraded monitoring systems as part of any new satellite Ground Segment project, or independently.
· Takes proactive actions to provide uninterrupted services to the customers.
· Provides timely, quality response and technical support to customer complaints/ queries/ requests.
· Provides temporary alternate capacity, if required, to customers in case of failure .
· Provides technical reports based on customer requirements.
· Prepares and executes test plan (Station verification test) for new customers, informs customers in case of abnormalities and gives report for test approval.
· Executes station verification test and informs of abnormalities when required.
· Analyzes relocation reports for jammers and ASI issues.
· Assists in mitigation of RF interference (intentional and non-intentional) and identify the location of the jammer.
· Coordinates with other satellite operators in case of ASI (Adjacent Satellite Interference), upon Head approval to eliminate ASI noise.
· Assists the Senior Operations Engineer in planning for satellite capacities to ensure revenues from Occasional TV services.
· Optimizes available capacity to ensure provision of capacities for Occasional TV use as and when requested by customers.
· Executes lineup test for up-linking the customers to the satellite (for new customers or for occasional TV use) and inform the finance and sales teams about the approval of the lineup test.
