Job Summary
To assess the patient refuned for Prosthetic or Orthotic treatrnent, anange a suitable treatrnent plan, record patient measurements and carry out or
supervise fittings of appropriate Prosthetic and Orthotic devices.
Principal Duties
1. Patient caregiver education.
2. Undertake a clinical assessment and examination of the patent.
3. Design an appropriate treatment plan for the patient.
4. Record and report any pertinent information regarding the patient in the Medical Record.
5. Use measurement, casting and/or scanning techniques to record patient information.
6. Perform positive model, tracing and CAD modifications as appropriate.
7. Specify the deign, componentry, materials, fabrication method and suppliers of of orthoses and prostheses..
8. Undertake the fitting, static and dynamic alignrnents of orthoses and prostheses.
