Job Purpose
To promote and increase awareness of Sika products and systems in the pre-construction phase of projects with the goal to have Sika portfolio of products used in the construction phase.
Main Liaison:
Internal: Target Market Managers Sales Team, Market Field Managers, Technical Manager.
External: Specifiers, Consultants, Contractors, Local Authorities, Government Depts. Key Account Managers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Promote and sell specifications and product systems to Specifiers, Contractors, Clients, through visits, Seminars, Method statements, specification bulletin’s with required input from Technical manager and Target Market Managers.
•Develop and maintain good relationship with specifiers, government departments and key A/Cs to enhance Sika brand in the market place.
•Manage designated consultant target list as “key accounts”. Understand their structure decision makers and roles they play.
•Report monthly on activity highlights and lowlights, maintain database (contacts, projects, follow up, …etc).
•Communicate continuously with sales personnel on upcoming projects. Make sure hand over of projects from specification stage to sales stage is clear and well documented.•Attend external and internal training to keep up to date on new products and developments and techniques.
•Support proportionately key Target Markets including Waterproofing, Concrete, Roofing, Flooring, Repair & Protection.
•Support Technical Manager and Target Managers with input towards internal technical meetings, technical data documentation, legal, warranty issuesand customer complaints as required.
•Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Management, Environmental Management and Health and Safety Management Systems.
•Undertake such additional duties, which may from time to time be assigned to the employee in the discharge of his duties.
4)Qualifications & Experience.
•Thorough Technical Knowledge of Sika and/or Industry products.
•Proactive relationship builder.
•Pragmatic solution provider with a can do attitude.
Work Experience
•BA in Civil, Chemical Engineering or Equivalent.
•5-7 year experience in related industry position.
•Ability to sell and present at Senior level.
Language Skills:
•Ability to communicate clearly, read and write effectively; in English and/if Arabic.
•English language:
level shall not be less than proficiency.
Computer Skills:
•To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a high level of computer skills.
•MS Office Package, Internet software and Inventory software.
Other Skills and Abilities:
•Ability to effectively work in a multi-gender, multi-national work team; whilst displaying particular sensitivity towards cultural and ethnic
differences.
•Ability to travel frequently, in accordance to operational requirements.
•Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
•Ability to understand, interpret and anticipate operating environment.
