We're looking for a Data Scientist/Project Manager to join CLIENT and lead an Advance Analytics Implementation, which serves internal clients across the organization. In this role, you'll manage a critical project leading teams of analysts, BI and analytics developers, and vendor’s members in the delivery of novel analytic solutions to CLIENT. The person filling this role must have good experience managing projects from kick-off to go-live. The ability to work with vendors, CLIENT IT and CLIENT Business team members is critical to the success of this role. He must have the ability to multi task and enhance a team environment. Being a team player is critical for success.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Work under the direction of Service Delivery Department and follow the architecture & design.
• Lead the planning and implementation of Advance Analytics in CLIENT.
• Lead projects that use advanced modeling techniques to provide actionable results, to support new and existing products and platforms, and to influence business decisions.
• Contribute to the analytic approaches utilized by the team in the development and delivery of solutions.
• Participate in engagements from end to end - from opportunity identification, proposal development, timeline and scope preparation, project execution, and delivery of work.
• Maintain and develop knowledge of various unique analytical methodologies and best practices.
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Define full scale project plan, project tasks and resource requirements.
• Work with the vendor and CLIENT to satisfactorily plan and schedule project timelines to guarantee on-time and on-quality delivery.
• Track project deliverables and communicate with project owners and sponsors to deliver on-time and within scope and budget.
• Provide direction and support to project team.
• Keep all stakeholders updated on progress of project.
• Analyze business/technical requirements and objectives, perform fit/gap analysis, and provide recommendations.
• Document all engagements including the creation of design documents, technical specifications, process documentation, specification, system deployment documents, and interface documents and publishing reports as necessary.
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve defined project outputs.
• Provide project management expertise throughout entire project.
• Analyzing user requirements, prototyping processes, and designing process solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation related to business processes, applications, architecture, and integration.
• Perform within existing standards and architectures.
• Collaborate with Vendors, other Project Managers, Solution Analysts, Application Developers, Database Team Members, QA Analysts, and Business Users in the development and initiation of new applications.
• Participate and provide leadership in the installation, configuration, deployment, and administration of Analytics product suite.
• Perform diagnostic analysis of test results and deliver solutions to critical areas.
• Run and monitor performance/integration/unit tests on new and existing applications for the purposes of correcting mistakes, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
• Develop an awareness of Advance Analytics and design alternatives.
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of Advance Analytics and its best practices.
• Train, manage and provide guidance to junior software development staff as required.
