An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proven Commercial Manager to join a leading Agriculture and FMCG company. The position is supervision Finance, HR, Legal and Procurement Departments.
This role will require the ability to challenge financial and commercial aspects of the business to drive and improve performance. Specifically this involves analysis, interpretation and reporting of results including identifying opportunities and applying organization acumen to ensure timely and robust decision-making.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver the annual budget, business plans and monthly forecast for the business.
- Overcome procurement process and its strict application by all entities in the company.
- Set the organization chart for the company and plan staffing needs.
- Ensure company compliance to country policies and regulation.
- Provide positive leadership to the business by living the values and create and maintain the work environment that delivers superior performance.
- Provide the guidance, direction and support for employees to achieve their potential.
- Lead by example with a bias for action, outcome driven, and strong commercial advice and be an effective and relied on business partner of the management team.
- Build and maintain superior working relationships right across organization to enable delivery of superior performance.
- Ensure financial integrity with strict compliance to local statutory, regulatory, legislative and tax requirements.
- Deliver profitability analysis at product level and linkage to commercial decisions.
- Identification of opportunity costs and efficiency opportunities and implement within authority levels
- Lead the compliance to policies and procedures, delegated authorities, and business rules ensuring these are clearly articulated and understood across the Divisional teams
- Ensure systems and processes produce reliable results within the required timeframe.
We are experts in ethical and organic farming practices and are already planting over 1 million date palms in our Al Quassim plantation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
But our ambitions do not end there. By the year 2020, it is our aim to become the world leader in the production of organic dates, producing a range of high quality date-based products - including energy bars, jam, molasses, ice cream, date stone coffee and juice - this plantation will have its own brand and be known globally for excellence. We will also create flagship stores selling packaged dates at key locations worldwide.
Our goals will reach fruition by using a highly skilled team and the most advanced technology available. By doing this, we have already created a transparent, sustainable, large-scale farming operation, based on efficient performance, integrity and genuine passion.
