Description
The Divisional Manufacturing Manager - Bakery is responsible for the overall manufacturing management for two plants with responsibility to achieve bakery production output utilizing safe and efficient operations in accordance with corporate objectives and the sustainability of the short term and five year business plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Manufacturing Managers are achieving agreed targets by conducting regular reviews.- Implement preventative and corrective actions as the need arises.- Ensure that Bakery Manufacturing is achieved service performance as agreed with Sales Division.- Ensure that the quality culture and quality standards are practiced and maintained by departments in order to minimize quality issues while achieving production targets.- Ensure the culture among Manufacturing Managers is to drive continuous improvement initiatives .- Ensure manpower planning including localisation plan is carried out timely thereby effective and wellcoordinated recruitment of resources is achieved with Human Resource Department.- Ensure that sound relationship between Manufacturing and Maintenance Engineering are in place and the timely and efficient repair and preventive maintenance of the plant is coordinated.- Manage, monitor and control budget in relation to headcount, financial and overhead budgets.- To work with and agree Asset care programs with Div. Engineering Manager.
Profile
For the role of Divisional Manufacturing Manager - Bakery my client is looking for high calibre candidates with significant experience within the Bakery industry.
- Bachelor's Degree / Formal Qualification in Bakery or Technology Diploma in Food Science or equivalent.- 15 years Operations Management experience in similar position in FMCG, of which 10 years should be in a senior management role.- Excellent communication and People management skills.- Excellent interpersonal skills.- Excellent customer relationship management- Exposure to World Class Manufacturing environment.- Working Knowledge in ISO 9001:2008 Quality standards / ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety.
