Executive Director of Supply Chain

A multinational FMCG client in Riyadh is seeking an Executive Director of Supply Chain. Reporting to the VP- Operations.

Responsible for the supplier selection, relationship development and supply chain. The position incumbent has to manage and optimize the entire supply chain process from demand planning, to product supply, to import and clearance-up to the warehousing management and delivery of goods.

 Develop and align functional strategy and objectives by participating in the development of business plans, feasibility studies, budgets and detailed project plans in accordance with overall business strategy and direction.

 Review, finalize, implement and update divisional policies and procedures.

 Manage the demand planning process by enforcing the planning discipline through elaboration and implementation of proper planning tools such as: Sales forecast, stock and sales report, performance report, week of sales/ stock and challenge all concerned parties on building blocks to ensure effective rotation of stocks (market trends, sales history & trends, running rate and growth rationales, etc.)

 Manage the product supply process including MRP, commercial & shipping terms, reconciliation with suppliers, sourcing optimization, supplier’s service level agreement, etc.

 Manage the different aspects of the logistics operation including import and clearance, transportation, warehousing of both raw material and finished goods, and distribution of the goods.

 Manage the third party logistics provider to ensure proper storage and distribution of finished goods across Central and Eastern provinces.

 Work as a principal negotiator on behalf of the company including resolution of commercial terms and conditions, negotiation of back charges and major change orders.

 Work closely with the distributor network and ensure constant availability of the products while avoiding over-stock situation both in-house and at customers end.

 Drive positive business results through strategic negotiations, controlling costs and inventories, forging strong vendor-partner relationships and implementing processes to support current and future business opportunities.

 Demonstrate expertise in suppliers and third party contractors' evaluation and selection, contract negotiation and management, cost modeling, and building collaborative supply relationships.

 Implement and reach high performance indicators by excellent collaboration between the main players (customers, suppliers, other subsidiaries, all departments and branches).

 Manage allocated annual divisional budget by controlling expenditures, cost reduction initiatives and reporting variances in actual versus budgeted, to ensure effective cost management.

 Provide guidance and leadership to all departmental staff to achieve agreed upon targeted goals and objectives.

 Ensure effective talent management practice i.e. attracting, developing, rewarding and retaining high performance individuals by efficiently implementing approved HR policies and procedures.
