This position provides a unique opportunity to influence the development of an enterprise software solution for organizations providing Military Supply Chain and Logistics. The key responsibilities of the Business/System Analyst are to translate the Customer requirement to functional specifications for the design teams and follow through the process until implementation. The majority of the design effort will be undertaken in Gusta Maritime’s offices in Riyadh but some travel, including international travel, to customer sites and development facilities may be required.
Primary Duties and Tasks:
• Reports to the IT Manager about the status of Supply Chain projects
• Definition, recording, and analysis of functional requirements as they pertain to Supply Chain management and EDI standards.
• Mapping of functional requirements to application supported business processes and the identification of needed enhancements to satisfy requirements.
• Prepare functional specifications for required enhancements.
• Participate in the technical design of modifications by explaining. Requirements in user oriented, functional terms.
• Deliver Training to the Customer information Technology, Supply Chain, and Logistics personnel.
• Ensure that budgets are adhered to and deadlines met.
Other Duties and Tasks:
• Assist with the company internal IT Support.
• Development and sustainment of the company information Technology Office policies and procedures.
• Maintain, develop, and update the company website to ensure that it meets the company needs and has relevant content.
• Participate with the team in support of business goals via individual goal setting, coaching, and development, as well as driving and necessary organizational changes
• Facilitate discussions, document strategic plans, provide thoughtful leadership, build consensus across the organization, and influence key decision makes.
• Enhance team’s problem solving capabilities - prioritize areas for improvement; structure complex, ambiguous, and potentially charged business issues
• Make data driven decisions; work with team to develop and display departmental goals, metrics, and real time performance versus goals
• Interface with other departments to set and maintain practices and procedures; problem solve issues and drive root cause corrective actions; drive improvements to streamline department and cross-functional processes.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
