GENERAL SUMMARY:
The purpose of this Manufacturing Representative role is to provide detailed knowledge of the Reverse Osmosis (RO) Fabrication manufacturing process technology to the capital project team and to provide the operational technology transfer to the new operations team. The role requires close partnering and collaboration with the highly automated discreet part manufacturing plant, project team, and other Subject Matter Experts while applying the Functional Input and Evaluation process to ensure technical, operability, and reliability success of the project.
The new RO Water Plant will produce RO water elements in the Jubail2 area of Saudi Arabia. This role will transition into a Plant production Engineer role after start up for a period of time.
This position will require a high amount of travel for extended period(s) of time to Edina MN and Houston TX. How this travel is managed will be discussed with interested candidates in an effort to understand how to meet the business needs meanwhile balancing the employee needs. Transitioning back to Saudi Arabia full time will align with plant start up activities.
The Manufacturing Representative team carries the majority of project accountability for the technical integrity and operability of the final facility. The Manufacturing Representative team plans, directs, and leads the Manufacturing Representative work process discipline of Global Project Methodology to achieve the business goals and manufacturing objectives of the project.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure implementation of the best technology in the project by integrating operability input from Plant Operations, MET, and Best Practices from the Technology Center, as well as Maintenance and Reliability inputs into the Definition and Detailed Design stages of Global Project Methodology
Ensure that stakeholders understand and support the goals and project objectives; get timely approvals, decisions, and obtain closure on issues
Review the overall design and construction of the project to ensure the facilities and equipment are engineered and built according to the key project plans and within the authorized schedule and cost limitations
Support and ensure the accuracy and have accountability for the Environmental, Fire and safety permits for the facility in cooperation with SME, and permit facilitators.
Serve as the conduit for the flow and evaluation of technical information between Operations and the Engineering teams to ensure technical integrity and optimum operability within the boundaries of the BOP, TIP and PEP.
Develop and implement the Plant’s Operating Discipline, management and quality system.
Ensure startup and operational training is developed and provided for the success of the operations team
Plan for and execute startup and safe and efficient transition to operations
Must gain or leverage a thorough understanding of the technology to effectively answer detailed questions during design Engineering and construction
Use troubleshooting abilities and then develop effective corrective actions
Actively work to establish strong team relationships that help improve efficiency and effectiveness; negotiate conflict in a way that causes projects to move forward
Identify and minimize potential risks associated with opportunities
Share responsibility for the direction of the team
