1) Review and analyse General Ledger accounts regularly
2) Check and verify journal entries prepared by the general accounting staff for recording new bank loans taken, settlements, instalment payments, rollovers and interim settlement of interest and other bank related transactions
3) Review and reconcile the Bank Loan schedule prepared by Treasury Dept. and compute interest expenses and prepare journal entry for recording monthly interest accruals on outstanding bank loans
4) Manage and keep track of all prepayments and accruals and analyze the movements in the related ledger accounts and ensure Recurring Journal entries are prepared and posted for the amortization and accrual of expenses. Run monthly update of Recurring Journals in SAP system for capturing expenses in the related period
5) Verify booking done by the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable sections for Realized gain or loss arising from customer collections and supplier payments respectively and investigate any abnormal entries for necessary adjustments
6) Ensure all the bank accounts are reconciled monthly by the general accounting staff and review them and ensure all the reconciling items are resolved timely and co-ordinate with Treasury Dept. for securing details from the banks regarding unidentified transactions
7) Review inter-company accounts to ensure there are not any inter-company differences. If there are any, investigate the reason and follow up with the appropriate inter-company contacts to resolve the same
8) Prepare and submit various ad hoc reports required by DZIT / Banks from time to time.
