Design and administer a credible total compensation and benefits program to ensure competitiveness in the market, consistency with the IDB Group strategy and objectives and equity and fairness among employees
Analyze compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive compensation plans
Direct preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits, compensation, and personnel policies
Develop new benefit packages ensuring that these are current and competitive and in line with legal requirements
Identify and implement benefits to increase the quality of life for employees, by working with brokers and researching benefits issues
Contribute to the development of and drive the implementation of HR strategies
Supervise the development and maintenance of the policies, guidelines and plans of the Compensation and Relations Management Division’s functions such as Reward and Remuneration System, Personnel Services, Job Descriptions/Job Evaluations, Employee Relations, Staff Pension etc.
Participate in market surveys and conduct benchmarking and analysis of compensation and benefit practices
Manage research initiatives and analyses of salary rates and benefits offered by other employers in the same sector
Monitor the organization’s salary structure and benefits provision to ensure a balance between control of costs and attraction and retention of staff
Oversee and review job evaluation and job classification studies to highlight issues relating to appropriate grading and pay for positions under study
Establish and maintain consistent job analysis procedures ensuring compliance with established job evaluation methodology
Take the day-to day operational decisions ensuring the Compensation and Relations Management Division achieves its planned targets
Manage the HR components of the HR Information Systems and Reports that support the decision making process
Provide management with decision making support on Compensation and Relations Management issues as well as manpower issues
Review the total compensation policies and practices ensuring compliance with legislative standards and guidelines
§ Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of the Division
§ Plan, manage and review individual performance and provide regular feedback, development and coaching, taking prompt action where necessary
§ Provide opportunities for Compensation and Relations Management Division members to suggest, participate in and contribute to improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing initiatives
Ensure the Compensation and Relations Management Division complies with IDB’s policies, processes, practices and systems
