Performs construction engineering assignments of a varied nature requiring a full working knowledge of construction engineering practices and the exercise of professional judgment within the framework of broad guidelines provided by superiors. May have leadership responsibility for less experienced construction engineers, construction office administrative personnel. May be specializing in a single field or area, or assuming a lead role in a specific segment of a construction project.
Assigned to a single discipline within a single area of a project.
Receives technical supervision in the form of direction. May provide technical and administrative guidance to administrative personnel.
On a large job, performs a variety of assigned duties, interfacing with related tasks being performed within a single discipline.
On a medium to small job, performs assigned duties relating to all activities within a single discipline and interfacing with related tasks being performed in more than one discipline.
Provides Construction Survey Engineering support to Area Lead Survey Engineer.
Applies project surveying plan and methods in conjunction with Field Engineering and Supervision. Party Chief on a 2 or 3 person-direct hire survey crew.
Utilizes Total Station survey equipment in conjunction with company survey software applications (. Remote As Built) and 3D CAD model data.
Responsible for the accurate determination of layout of construction work.
Recording of field data according to job specifications and appropriate methods of performing survey activities.
