Job Purpose:
Participating in setting quality control standards and procedures and performing quality control checks and inspections, reporting quality results and taking corrective actions incase of any deviations from the set standards and procedures.
Key Accountability:
• Plans and conducts Quality Inspection visits in coordination with concerned NIC departments and branches.
• Performs quality inspection on services/products/processes to insure conformance with pre-set standards and quality assurance criteria.
• Checks for irregularities and defects using testing techniques and reports findings.
• Identifies the root cause of non-conformities identified during quality inspections; and ensures required corrective actions are implemented as/when required
• Maintains records on all quality inspections performed and ensures proper data entry into the system and documents control.
• Applies the methods of Statistical Process Control (SPC) for analysing quality data and ensuring quality.
• Implements Department policies and procedures and ensure compliance with related rules/regulations.
• Applies ISO 9001 quality procedures or other quality procedures.
• Updates the Department SharePoint web pages with quality and related information.
• Keeps abreast of new trends and rules/regulations related to the Department.
• Participates in the Implementation of Department related projects.
• Performs Department business transactions in timely manner.
• Develops periodic reports related to the activities of the Department.
• Provides on job training and coaching to junior employees on technical aspects related to department roles and responsibilities.
• Contributes to knowledge management by actively sharing relevant information and knowledge with others.
