Quality Assurance Officer - National Information center

Job Purpose:

Implementing quality standards, policies and procedures for all entities within NIC in a manner that satisfies the set quality objectives, as well as performing periodic audits for making sure that all entities are complying and conforming to the set standards.



Key Accountability:



• Participates in setting, reviewing and upgrading the quality standards, policies and procedures for all entities within NIC for keeping them up to date and ensuring highest quality standards is achieved.

• Develops and conducts awareness sessions on the quality management system across NIC.

• Applies ISO standard or other quality procedures.

• Develops quality assurance criteria for various departments

• Updates the department SharePoint site with quality related information

• Uses appropriate methods and tools in the development, maintenance, control and distribution of quality management system and makes technical changes to quality and management standards according to documented procedures, distributes new and revised standards.

• Plans and conducts Quality Management System internal audits in coordination with concerned departments.

• Prepares periodic reports of quality audits findings with performance percentages against pre-set compliance levels and pushes them to concerned entities with a copy sent to the quality manager.

• Maintains quality records and records on all audits performed and retaining records of all written and documented quality standards, policies and procedures.

• Identifies the root cause of non-conformities identified during quality audits; and ensures required corrective actions are implemented as/when required.

• Coordinates with external parties on matters related to the Quality Management System.

• Monitors and measures business processes and procedures based on defined KPI’s and reports findings.

• Implements Department policies and procedures and ensure compliance with related rules/regulations.

• Keeps abreast of new trends and rules/regulations related to the Department.

• Participates in the Implementation of Department related projects.

• Performs Department business transactions in timely manner.

• Develops periodic reports related to the activities of the Department.

• Provides on job training and coaching to junior employees on technical aspects related to department roles and responsibilities.

• Contributes to knowledge management by actively sharing quality and relevant information and knowledge with other NIC employees.
