Fleet Manager - Bakhashab Transport and Trading

• JOB PURPOSE: To plan and coordinate the fleet activities in order to allow Bakhashab to improve vehicle efficiency, utilization, reducing overall transportation costs and risks while providing full compliance with Bakhashab guidelines, legal and procedural requirements. • KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Budget Preparation:  Contribute to the preparation of the fleet budget, and monitor the financial performance of the fleet activities versus set budget to ensure alignment with set budget guidelines. Policies & Procedures:  Develop policies processes and procedures pertaining to fleet department and manage their implementation to ensure adherence and fulfilment of all relevant requirements. Fleet Management:  Oversee the utilisation of the fleet to ensure availability, faster turnaround, safe operation which leads to maximising internal customer satisfaction and maximising utilization.  Manage the company vehicle fleet and ensure timely monitoring of all activities such as registration, insurance, maintenance, repairs etc. in order to ensure that the vehicles are maintained to the required standards while adhering to Bakhashab guidelines, legal and procedural requirements. Fleet Maintenance:  Manage the establishment and maintenance of fleet management systems including PC-based access and intranet systems, working with the IT function to optimise the use of IT in the transportation function.  Ensure that all vehicles are serviced timely, efficiently and in a cost effective manner to maintain the availability of vehicles for transportation of assets at all times. Tracking Control:  Ensure the tracking of trucks in order to maintain a proper control on a periodic basis as well as monitoring traffic incidents by taking necessary corrective actions to improve performance.  Direct activities related to dispatching, routing or tracking transportation vehicles in order to ensure effective and efficient fleet utilization. Data Management:  Ensure effective maintenance of fleet data in order to support daily tracking and management decision making, while ensuring timely availability of resources to facilitate operations. Asset Management:  Lead the development and implementation of the asset management strategy in order to ensure Bakhashab maximizes its short, medium and long term profitability and returns to its shareholders. • COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS (ILLUSTRATIVE NOT EXHAUSTIVE): Internal: Regular interactions with the Transport to provide up-date on progress against strategic objectives, and report any significant matters. Regular interactions with all related departments involved in the fleet to provide insight and guidance related to the field of work oversee fleet progress and resolve critical issues. Regular interactions with direct team members to manage and oversee performance of the function provide guidance and manage the day-to-day operations. External: Third Party Contractors, Government Entities.
