· Analyzes and keeps abreast of latest IT security methodologies, tools and standards in order to be able to develop a best-practice IT security system
· Analyzes and evaluates current IT security framework, vulnerability to risks, impact of potential threats and system availability
· Develops appropriate IT standards, policies and processes according to corporate guidelines and by liaising with users, IT management. Proactively communicates updates to IT standards and policies with relevant organizational bodies. Serves as resource to users to interpret internal IT standards and guidelines
· Proposes and manages the implementation of Information Security policies, strategies, guidelines and processes to deliver long term security to the business.
· Develop and implement a comprehensive IT security awareness program.
· Monitors the implementation of information security mitigation plans to ensure any weaknesses / failures that conflict with standards and procedures are identified and resolved.
· Leads and manages the development of disaster recovery plans, in conjunction with other department heads, which will respond speedily & effectively to the threat of disasters
· Initiates enhancements to the system to ensure its protection
· Develops and oversees the implementation of department policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of Information Security activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customersPrepares various reports in order to support decision-taking process of management.
