Commercial Manager - Mouchel Middle East

Purpose:

To support all commercial aspects of the KSA business from tender process through to closure of final accounts within the Middle East operational business.

To develop and deploy innovative financially advantageous commercial solutions which support the winning of contracts and the effective commercial management of projects including support to KSA project management staff.

To minimise the risk profile of the business through support and governance of commercial and legal activities during all phases of the project life cycle.

To develop and enhance commercial skills and culture throughout the operational business and within the commercial teams through development of training and other supporting activities.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Supporting opportunities, reviewing RFP’s in detail to ascertain suitability and risk profile of opportunity, shaping the commercial solutions to be winning propositions, attending customer dialogue sessions, and supporting selected commercial, financial and contract development work streams, through to financial close and award.

• Support and governance of bid opportunities across the Middle East business, ensuring compliance with bid processes and ensuring innovative and financially advantageous commercial solutions are developed and included in bid submissions.

• Ensuring commercial handover from bid to operational delivery is prepared, communicated and understood, immediately after award of tenders including providing support during mobilisation and throughout operational delivery phases as appropriate.

• Supporting the motivation and development of the project management staff in KSA to improve quality and consistency of project performance and match the demands of the business strategically going forward as well as day to day. Supporting the raising of commercial management, reporting, awareness and performance within all operational teams. This will involve liaison with the operating business but primarily the project managers to ensure we meet the governance & reporting requirements internally, plus ensuring that we are commercially efficient externally to our clients on such key matters like Variations, correspondence, EOT and the like.

• Providing day to day commercial management through the implementation of appropriate and effective controls and policies to minimise risk to the KSA business.

• Conducting regular project reviews with project managers for the purpose of understanding and uncovering risks and be able to support and advise PM’s on managing the risks through mitigation and correct financial reporting processes.

• Conducting special project reviews and audits and to carry out reconciliations on project financials when necessary.

• To promote best practice, compliance and continuous improvement in accordance with the mProve quality management system.
