• JOB PURPOSE: To act as the centre of excellence for Bakhashab ensuring the provision of quality processes and systems in order to support in enhancing and driving performance, and thus enable achievement of short-term and long-term objectives and enhance operational efficiency. • KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Budget Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of the operations excellence budget, and monitor the financial performance of the operations excellence activities versus set budget to ensure alignment with set budget guidelines. Policies & Procedures: Develop policies processes and procedures pertaining to operations excellence department and manage their implementation to ensure adherence and fulfilment of all relevant requirements. Operations Excellence Performance Management: Manage and lead the development and implementation of operations excellence standards and KPIs in line with leading practices in order to ensure alignment with the transport overall strategy and plans. Oversee the monitoring and reporting against set KPIs and standards for operations excellence to identify variances and ensure correction action is deployed in a timely manner in order to maximise operating capacity and efficiency. Technical Guidance: Keep abreast of new trends, technologies and ongoing developments in the relevant fields, and provide technical guidance on new processes to be implemented to optimise operating excellence performance and efficiency. Act as a Centre of Excellence providing the management with advice on key areas for driving performance to support in achievement of profitable revenue growth and business objectives. Process Engineering: Manage the development and enhancement of the process engineering methodology and standards including operating guide, templates, tools etc. in line with leading practices. Manage the implementation of the process engineering activities including defining processes, identifying controls and efficiency points, and enhancing ‘to-be’ processes to improve organisational efficiency. Review the development and setting of SLAs aimed to enhance the delivery of services among the business units to enhance processes, and ensure that corrective action is deployed to mitigate issues. Business Intelligence Analytics: Manage the liaison with departments to conduct research and identify opportunities where intelligence could drive additional values for decision making regarding business direction. Build business intelligence capabilities by establishing appropriate processes for scanning, capturing and analysing market and business data (such as industry and organisational trends, business benchmarks, etc.). Deliver timely, pertinent, analytical and insightful intelligence inputs to executive management to aid them in making sound and well informed business decisions. Manage the conducting of forecast modelling looking at supply and demand, operating rates and prices in order to assess their impact and implications on the Group. Manage the development of BI reports, and ensure that the captured BI analytics and intelligence is documented, published and disseminated effectively. • COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS (ILLUSTRATIVE NOT EXHAUSTIVE): Internal: Regular interactions with the Transport to provide up-date on progress against strategic objectives, and report any significant matters. Regular interactions with all related departments involved in the operations excellence to provide insight and guidance related to the field of work, oversee operations excellence progress and resolve critical issues. Regular interactions with direct team members to manage and oversee performance of the function, provide guidance and manage the day-to-day operations. External: Bakhashab Customers / Consumers, External Consultants, Regulatory Entities, Government Entities (e.g. Municipalities).
