SSG Supplier Management has an opportunity for an outstanding individual to join our team as a Procurement Agent for non-production goods and services supporting the IMEA (India/Middle East/Africa) region.
The procurement agent will report to SSG Supplier Management organization (who is located in Renton, Washington, USA) and will support the local procurement needs of the region, including development of procurement and supply chain solutions, strategies and policies to support customer requirements in a quality and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• The position requires someone who can work independently, with limited oversight.
• The Procurement Agent will conduct/lead the procurement process from identification of requirement through successful delivery of the goods and/or services.
• Effectively interprets and implements specific supplier management and procurement guidelines (Boeing Company Procedures, Policies, US/Local statutory requirements, etc.).
• Evaluates, selects and qualifies suppliers in conjunction with other SSG organizations.
• Negotiates terms and conditions related to lead times and pricing.
• Reviews and negotiates standard terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Consult with internal business partners to resolve supplier performance issues.
• Works as a part of the SSG international procurement team, providing back-up support as needed to other procurement agents.
• Creates and delivers regular status reports.
• Participate in functional excellence and process improvement activities within Supplier Management.
