Reporting to Quality Control Manager, the Quality Engineer is responsible for performing inspections at the shop floor and making sure that he foresees the problems by using statistical process control techniques and other proactive tools. If happens, resolve quality problems caused either by production workmanship or design weaknesses, and coordinate the corrective actions.
Quality Engineer in practice will support design, engineering, logistics and manufacturing function by providing timely feedback about possible setbacks at operations. The ideal candidate should have significant analyzing skills along with strong planning, problem solving and communication skills. SAUDI nationals only.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings, work instructions.
• Works in coordination with QC supervisors and technicians
• Ensures and coordinates an effective training program for QC employees, including on-the-job (OJT) training
• Performing QC tasks at welding, machining and assembly processes
• Controls and coordinates receiving, line inspection and testing functions to ensure optimum work flow
• Coordinates with all related departments to resolve quality problems caused either by production workmanship or design weaknesses.
• Maintains metrics on production work centers’ output in terms of quality
• Prepares periodical quality status reports
• Ensures conformance of delivery schedule to contractual obligations
• Ensures conformance to all production and quality requirements
• Able to prepare queries from ERP or equivalent system databases
• Maintains a good recording and filing system
• Requests, monitors or perform changes to quality control instruction
• Ensures care and maintenance of analogue or digital measurement instruments, special tools and equipment all over the facility.
• Follows specified calibration procedures and controls periodically expiration dates of measuring instruments
• Troubleshoots measuring instruments for defects and deviations from standards
• Inspects parts for conformity with specifications.
• Check the records of vehicle log books and ensures that deficiencies corrected
• Participates in final acceptance tests of vehicle and records any non-conformances
• Controls the performance of the vehicle break-in tests
• Plans and coordinates overtime schedule of personnel, if needed.
• Supports the department manager for determination of department manpower requirements
• Follows all safety rules and regulation
