Job Description
Operation of DCS Controlled System in Reverse Osmosis Plant to produce Potable Water. Shift Charge Engineers for all other Operational activities during the Shift..
Will be responsible for operation of the Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant through DCS Control Room, Maintain Shift Log Book and assist to Supervisor for all other Operational activities during the Shift and other related work assigned by his Supervisor :
- Overall Supervision of Operation activities of Sea Water Treatment Plant # 4.
- Responsible to implement Masa Safety Procedures for issuing permit to work (PTWC) and to ensure proper isolations as per the established Masa Standard isolation procedures before issuing the permit.
- To conduct safety tool meeting on regular basis for safety awareness of the employees working under him.
- To carry out plant operation in a safe and smooth manner as per the established Masa standard operating procedures.
- Supervise Control Room Operators and all Operators assigned in his Shift to maintain smooth operation of the plant.
- To check and monitor the process parameters in PLC Control System, to take necessary action and to advise concerned operators for correction in order to achieve optimum production and efficiency.
- Regular checks in the plants, inspect the process system, housekeeping status and to take action accordingly.
- Responsible to create notifications for the defects observed and reported by operators in the plant.
- To monitor the condition, carry out trouble shooting and to take necessary action & decision during abnormal operation and emergency situations in the plant.
- To coordinate with RO4 Superintendent and Lead Engineer Process for necessary instructions during abnormalities.
- Responsible for the production and water quality to maintain the Masa standard limits in coordination with laboratory.
- Responsible to check the laboratory results in each shift and to take necessary action to eliminate the non-conformity in the water chemistry.
- Responsible for preparing Shift Log Reports, daily production reports, water quality reports, power meter reading reports and sending through Email to the recipients as instructed.
- Responsible to mobilize maintenance teams whenever required.
- To prepare incident reports whenever any incident occurs and to take necessary measures to avoid such incidents.
- Responsible to prepare SOP, SIP and emergency, contingency procedures as per the requirement of Masa.
- To provide necessary data to the Lead Engineer Process for preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- To coordinate with other departments such as CPO as per the requirements.
- Able to assist the Lead Engineer Process in all his undertakings and later resume the responsibilities during the leave of absence.
- Proper Hand Over of Operation Information to the incoming Shift Charge Engineers.
