Job Purpose:
To plan, organize and direct maintenance and repair of the processing plant and the related facilities and projects in PP site
Plant wide maintenance:
• Responsible for plant-wide maintenance to ensure smooth and continuous operations of various machines and equipment of the poultry plant
• Design plant wide regular maintenance schedule taking inputs from relevant managers / Superintendents and Operators
• Implement the regular maintenance schedule by ensuring both machine and manpower availability at the planned time
• Ensure preventive maintenance and troubleshooting in the processing plant
• Plan and over see upgradation of the plant maintenance facilities
• Manage the maintenance expenses by ensuring best practices in the industry
• Prepare annual budget for maintenance department in coordination with Vice President - PPP and maintenance team
Minimize downtime & Improve throughput
• Devise and implement initiatives to minimize the downtime in the processing plant
• Analyze equipment needs and ensure sufficient inventory of replacement parts and motors, taking into account local availability
Manpower management & Safety:
• Assign responsibilities to the Deputy Manager - Maintenance
• Develop safety standards for maintenance and ensure the team follows the standards regularly
• Ensure adherence by maintenance team to the HACCP safety procedure
