We are a leading Saudi privately held company engaged in commercial real estate development and operations, headquartered in Riyadh. We own and operate a portfolio of shopping malls across the Kingdom and are currently looking to recruit an experienced Business Development and Marketing Director to joint our Property Management team, reporting to the General Manager. He shall be responsible for identifying and implementing business development strategies and leading, managing and directing all of the marketing related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform SWOT analysis for the Company and for its portfolio of malls to help understand our business capabilities, opportunities, threats, weak spots, our competitive position, and determine strategic direction.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies and enhance tenants’ sales including shopper incentive programs and work closely with tenants to ensure optimum results.
• Develop and implement branding strategies to boost awareness, positioning in the market and enhance our image
• Develop and implement public relation strategy to help achieve the Company’s objectives.
• Generate new ideas within our malls to enhance leasable areas, appearance, traffic, income generated from advertising, and shopping experience.
• Work effectively with the other departments within the Company to ensure optimum business effectiveness and that information is timely and effectively communicated.
• Prepare the annual marketing plan and budget ensuring marketing objectives are achieved.
• Ensure implementation of the approved marketing plan and budget and ensure performance is properly measured and reported to the relevant stakeholders.
• Plan and implement malls special events ensuring legal and social requirements are met.
• Ensure full coordination with relevant tenants on special events performed and develop strategies to recover related costs.
• Develop and implement strategies for the tenants to share sales information to enhance and monitor performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to drive traffic to our malls and increase length of time of shoppers and ultimately increase the tenants’ sales.
• Manage all marketing and advertising agencies related relationships.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of key marketing activities, in coordination with tenants, in terms of sales results, traffic and shoppers response.
• Assess the effectiveness of the malls and the corporate websites and add new features to enhance value thereof.
• Devise and implement an effective verbal and written reporting and information system.
• Develop and implement tenant relations strategies that involve regular tenant meetings, marketing activities coordination and personal calls and visits.
• Provide assistance to leasing team through research and marketing efforts to achieve maximum occupancy and optimum rental pricing.
• Develop and monitor relevant KPI’s to track marketing and public relation activities to measure progress toward objectives achievement and to effectiveness
• Define and implement the industry best practices within marketing and business development function.
• Select the appropriate advertising and marketing agencies, negotiate contractual arrangements and manage the ongoing relationship
• Review, monitor and evaluate performance of subordinates.
• Monitor competitors’ activities, and collect and analyze information on their growth plans and competitive advantages and develop strategies to ensure maintaining a point of difference.
• Develop and closely analyze dashboards including KPI’s of the performance of each mall and ensure regular reporting.
• Undertake market analysis, market monitoring, and demographic profiling to assist positioning our malls and identifying opportunities for development.
• Develop initiatives for future business growth capitalizing on the available resources and competencies, and create all the related phases of a business case.
