Production Manager - Legrand

Job Objective:

The target objective for a production manager is planning production schedules and staying inside budgetary boundaries and time restrictions.

Production manager is responsible for scheduling, staffing, maintaining all equipment, quality and inventory control and coordinating production activities with other departments. In order to undertake those tasks correctly, he must analyze the organization's employees and dominant resources to find the best way of meeting the production goals.



Responsibilities:



•Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule.

•Ensure planned KPI’s of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded.

•Ensuring that the production is cost effective.

•Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedure for all production operations.

•Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality.

•Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals.

•Working out the human and material resources needed.

•Ensuring the proper and required reporting to the top management including all required data and records showing the status of jobs, production and machineries loads.

•Keeping the right communications and contacts with all organization department by providing the proper status and on time replies concerning all active jobs in order to be reported to clients and serve the planning processes.

•Ensure prescribed line plans are completed timely.

•Drafting a timescale for the job.

•Develop and track improvement in reduction of planned production hours.

•Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives.

•Ensure implementation and evolution of safety procedure.

•Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.

•Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programs.

•Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices.

•Liaising among different departments, e.g. Suppliers, managers.

•Working with managers to implement the company’s policies and goals.

•Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.

•Ensure coaching and development of resources to meet business’s objectives.

•Supervising and motivating a team of workers.

•Reviewing the performance of subordinates.



Relationships and Roles:



Internal / External Cooperation

•Insures that production sections foremen meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting their daily activities in running the production.

•Maintains contact with all factory departments (warehouse, logistics, technical, planning, purchasing) to ensure high levels of common understanding and cooperation, while having the proper replier to any queries/ clarifications on time.

•Authority and responsibility with accountability and process follow-up.

•Conducts regular coaching and counseling with production foremen to build motivation and production skills.

•Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all factory labor.



Work Location: Jeddah Industrial Zone, Phase 5
