Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and approve, in conjunction with VP - President and Senior Management, the QHSE Strategy including the development and implementation of the required policies, processes and procedures including key performance measures and targets.
Ensure comprehensive training and guidance program are in place to raise awareness of the QHSE systems and responsibilities with the aim of developing a strong QHSE culture within all levels of Al Majal Al Arabi.
Ensure systems are developed and in place to routinely monitor, measure, analyze and report on QHSE compliance and performance
Approve annual program of system compliance and technical audits and ensure that is fully resources is being carried out reported and auctioned.
Ensure all accidents and incidents are sufficiently investigated and reported and that root causes are identified, corrective and preventative actions taken and verified as effective.
Ensure department and projects have suitable and sufficient experience, qualified, competent QHSE staff, through recruitment, training and staff development.
Ensure a program of continuous improvement through review and analysis of QHSE performance and compliance.
Develop in conjunction with Department Managers annual budgets and monitor expenditure against these.
Advise company on all matters relating to QHSE and ensure legal requirements are understood and complied with.
Coordinate with Clients, Statutory Bodies and 3rd parties as necessary and represent the company on all matters related to QHSE.
Reports on a regular basis QHSE performance to VP - President Cont. & I Sector
Carry out the duties of the "Management Representative" as defined in ISO 9001
Attend Management Review Meetings and ensure all the required reports on QHSE Performance is available
Assist in tendering by providing necessary advice on QHSE requirements
Qualification:
Engineering Degree
Experience:
10 - 15 years work experience in Management System Implementation
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Fluent in written and spoken English
Computer literate
