Tasks/Responsibilities:
Primary Tasks
- Piping design using 3D software to obtain detailed layout considering objects in the pipe route and make bill of quantity (BOQ) for all piping materials. Stress calculations also required for all piping systems. Output of the work is summarized to general piping drawings, BOQ of the piping materials, Isometric drawings for construction.
- Pipe support structure design is also required as a part of the work.
- Preferably 3D software of EyeCAD or Intergraph will be used for this particular work. Therefore you should be familiar to use of the software of the same.
- Using the software proposed, general plant layout and coordination of the plant will be studied and Interfaces among equipment, piping, valves, instruments, piping support, foundations and any other objects installed in the plant area.
- Structural design for piping support and walkway for equipment maintenance including design of shape and stress calculation. Output of the work is summarized to fabrication drawings.
- One set of drawings for loading data including shape of foundation, load of each foundation, and location of the foundations.
- Preparation of inquiry specification for the piping material and the related auxiliaries. Other general engineering tasks pertaining to engineered-to-purpose
Secondary Tasks
- Providing Technical Support during bids / tenders for new projects, drawing on the info and knowledge gained during current project.
- Work closely with and providing timely input (especially “red-flagging”) to the Procurement Manager in respect of Vendor Control (from engineering design to complete delivery of supplies/services by vendors).
