Role Purpose:
To assist in maintenance activities, workshop management, store management, local market purchasing, station technical documentation, in accordance with the corporate policies, strategies and plans.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
Maintenance Operations:
• Daily check for related system
• Undertake preventive, corrective maintenance tasks & station modifications on the ground station systems, using appropriate standard procedures to ensure the availability and protection of the systems under related engineer supervision
• Assist station admin in store management by updating store contains lists
• Purchase the needed spare parts and consumable from local market
• Assist in workshop management: troubleshooting under RF & BBE engineers supervision, tools arrangement
• Assist in execute of service contracts to third party customers for Transfer Orbit, Launch, Antenna rental services, to ensure customer satisfaction, timely response to issue and anomalies facing accurate execution of such service and provide necessary support to third party customers and/or their subcontractors to ensure success of service
• Keep own equipment and tools in good order, ensuring it is maintained in-line with procedures and safety standards
• Manage station’s systems & equipment's user handbooks and documentation
• Provide support to the control & AOC teams
Reporting:
• Give an input to reports on activities, technical issues, incidents, system anomalies, unexpected behavior for related senior engineers
• Record any preventive or corrective actions performed allowing the works to be tracked throughout the organization
• Maintain a Log of all activities undertaken in order to feed into the team activity report (failure and/ or weekly reports)
Learning and Development:
• Keep abreast of any changes in satellite operations guidelines or principles
• Proactively take responsibility for self - improvement by staying well informed of developments, knowledge and innovation in relevant field of expertise
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or other superiors
