§ Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot routers, gateways, firewalls, servers and other networking infrastructure for local area and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), including Internet connectivity. § Plan and implement host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users. § Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties. Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability and performance expectations. § Document network problems and resolutions for future reference. § Ensures that all server systems, equipments are maintained and managed in order to provide maximum system benefits, effective system security, and reliability. § Suggest policies for appropriate use and management of LAN server systems; design and implement changes to configuration, user environment, and data migration. § Cooperate and assist other Information Technology Services (ITS) departments with work related to LAN servers. § Ensure that all Local Area Network (LAN) server systems are maintained and managed in order to provide maximum system benefits, effective system security, and reliability; suggest policies for appropriate use and management of LAN server systems § Ensure that the integrity of the server, server software and all user files located on the servers is maintained. Support several applications on 30-40 servers. § Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and security issues. Train and provide troubleshooting procedures to helpdesk personnel for first-line network issues. § Perform day-to-day administration of the company's network infrastructure § Maintain a record of all installed software and current versions. Maintain network diagrams and documentation for all servers and network components. § Write and/or maintain up-to-date documentation for network software and operational procedures. § Develop hardware configuration plans for network systems; prepare capacity Plan for systems and network. § Ensure the secure and PCI compliant operation of all computer systems, servers and network. § Maintain security of the network. Implement system policies governing workstation and user capabilities and rights, Ensure that current antivirus software is installed on all servers and workstations.
