NMS Engineer

Purpose :

A NMS Engineer is responsible for installation, configuration, administration and on-going support of an array of NMS applications. He will be responsible for a variety of tasks in order to ensure that the NMS applications function correctly and accurately.

The NMS Engineer will also be expected to provide direction, concerns and recommendations regarding the NMS systems.

In particular, experience in SAP IT Infrastructure Manager is required.

Responsibilities :

 Manage network infrastructure

 Provide end to end network management and support

 Development and Documentation of standards, process and procedures.

 Configure and administer access control to the NMS applications

 Customise NMS applications in response to user requests.

 Monitoring Infrastructure Environment

 Undertaking routine maintenance of NMS systems, including system patching/upgrades and compliance management

 Working closely with other teams and collaborating with other Operation staff.

 Planning and implementing future developments.

 2nd and 3rd level support and problem resolution.

 Part of rotating on call support.

 Work closely with the Systems Architect, Operations teams, and HRDF IT teams to ensure their needs are being addressed in NES DataCenter
