Professional Development Training Advisor III (GC 11) - SRACO Saudi Arabia

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:



A. Counsels with and advises PDP and trainees' supervisors and program participants as necessary. In cooperation with area supervisors and department heads, arranges a program of orientation for the assigned area for each newly hired Saudi Arab professional, involving area tours, exposure to physical support facilities, and introduction to area personnel.



B. Assists management and supervisors in the planning and preparation of development plans for GC11-14 employees in the Department.



C. Coordinates the acquisition of new trainees and PDP employees by working with the Employment Department to develop and execute recruitment strategies, assists with technical interviews, recommends salary offers (within corporate guidelines), and follows up on outstanding offers. Works with Career Development/Saudi Development to properly acquire new PDP employees from that source by monitoring IK/OOK College Degree Program (CDP) and short term training assignment employees' progress, degree/diploma attainment, graduation/return date, and employee career interests.



D. Endorses training schedules prepared for Saudi Development Program candidates. Suggests modifications as required. For employees not qualifying for Saudi Development, prepares individual training/development plans. Takes necessary action to ensure that candidates are enrolled and attend appropriate ITC/JSTC/OJT programs.



E. Coordinates development of on-job training programs as required to meet objectives. Such courses may be run by the organization or by Training depending on circumstances.



F. Coordinates IK/OOK training for selected candidates with Career Development. Conducts necessary correspondence, monitors progress and prepares relevant vacation assignments.



G. Insures the time preparation, discussion, and submission of performance appraisals, monitors and takes development actions appropriate to performance reviews.



H. Evaluates and advises assigned area management on all proposed promotion actions for PDP employees. Endorses such actions as consistent with established program objectives.



I. Coordinates assigned aspects of the Department's college student summer work/training program and the CO-OP program.



Minimum Qualifications:



A. BA or BS Degree in Human Resources, Counseling, Education or related fields.



B. Four (4) years' experience in the applicable field. preferably in the assigned area. A working knowledge of the concerned organization's structure, job requirements, and opportunities.



C. Thorough knowledge of spoken and written English. Arabic comprehension is desirable.
