On behalf of a telecommunication company with a global reach we are seeking a VP Sales - Distribution for their Riyadh Head office.
Responsible for devising and implementing distribution strategy and driving sales growth from distribution channel across the country. The role is responsible for channel profitability, revenues, distributor loyalty, market penetration and market share across all regions. The role supervises Regional Managers in order to drive the distribution strategy. Oversees the activities and strategies pursued by the National Key Account Manager. This role ensures smooth integration in distribution function operations at the geographic level.
The role is critical to ensuring profitable and sustainable operations of the distribution function operations in order to achieve company’s goals and objectives.
• Drives channel sales and profitability targets for the Distribution function.
• Monitors achievement of high returns on promotional expenditures while adhering to budgetary norms.
• Creates budgets at the National & Regional level and implements cost control measures.
• Establishes sales and profitability targets for different regions; analyzes regional data to generate insights or trends and implements sales initiatives to bridge gaps.
• Establishes performance metrics for customer satisfaction and implements systems to improve service efficiency.
• Drives cost efficiency by implementing standardized processes across the distribution channel.
• Maximizes market penetration across all regions.
• Ensures implementation of processes to increase distributor satisfaction and loyalty.
• Collects feedback from customers in order to review strategy and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Drives and supports strong relationships with key accounts.
• Analyzes sales and demographic data, identifies trends to forecast future demand and reviews strategy.
• Directs the regional managers to devise sales promotion schemes to increase brand recall and loyalty.
• Assesses the performance of sales sub-channels (POS, corporate sales, wholesale accounts) on parameters such as sales, profitability, conversion rate, cost control etc.
• Directs the development & implementation of standard operating procedures.
• Works closely with the marketing department to ensure customer focus and consistency in promotional campaigns vis-à-vis retail division.
• Articulates the overall goals & objectives of the distribution function and ensures communications flow down the channel to ensure consistency and shared responsibility.
• Provides guidance during training programs of sales personnel in order to increase customer service.
• Fosters a culture of innovation, customer focus, entrepreneurship and team work across the entire distribution function.
• Guides in design of training programs to train management & sales staff on creating a consistent customer experience and company branding.
• Reviews the compensation philosophy periodically to ensure market competitiveness.
• Assesses the performance of subordinates periodically and recommends team incentives.
• Recommends individual and group incentives/reward programs to recognize high performance.
• Outlines manpower requirements and assists in recruitment.
