1-Plans and supervises the activities of assigned personnel in the Inspection Unit. Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level established by management for the position.
2- Carries out routine and non-routine tests and inspection programs on equipment.
3- Develops and administers contracts for inspection surveys of existing facilities. Sets criteria for selection of inspection contractors. Evaluate bids and recommends appropriate selection.
4- Uses engineering specifications and standards established for work to ensure mechanical integrity in relation to process requirements and adherence to relevant standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, BSI, BP, DIN, etc. with respect to materials, plant and equipment.
5- Apply inspection standards and tests for plant, including frequency and type of examination, following installation.
