Key Functions:
•Undertake Recycling and refurbishment process of all OSN Decoders and Smartcards across the region on a daily basis.
•Ensure high quality robust hardware recycling and refurbishment process through effective coordination with warehouses, Dealers, Repairing centers, internal departments and suppliers.
•Maximum ROI-Reduce turn around period of returned decoders through prompt recycling & redeployment of returned stock.
•Monitor decoder repairing cycles to ensure commercial viability of repairing costs.
•Identify Refurbishment material requirements, monitor current stock & stock diminishing pattern, report replenishment accordingly.
Customers:
End Customers, Supply Chain Team members, and Dealers across the region. All parties who require new & refurbished hardware: Subscribers, technicians, warehouses, Dealers etc.
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist Quality Control Engineer & Refurbishment Manager in building & updating “Standard Recycling processes”.
•Ensure all hardware goes through full the recycling process and the final products are technically and aesthetically qualified to OSN standard.
•Inspect 3rd party Refurbished hardware at each stage on random basis.
•Train installation Technicians, 3rd party provided technicians and unskilled labors.
•Assist to ensure repair of decoders within warranty period through regular follow up with suppliers, repair centers, dealers, warehouses etc.
•Lead special technical projects related to new and returned stock technical upgrading.
•Ensure minimum and re-order stock levels of refurbishment materials. Make advance purchase requisitions.
•Implement operational strategy and plans
•Maintain departmental standards
•Carry out basic warehouse activities like receiving and issuing stock to Internal Customers and Dealers
Personal Profile:
•Graduate in Electronics and Communications Engineering, must have at least 10 years of experience as test engineer.
•Experience of Set Top Box hardware and software testing (Desirable).
•Excellent in electronics hardware repairs (PCB - Printed Circuit Board), preferably Set-Top-Box, and using hand tools and test instruments like oscilloscope and SMD rework station.
•Know how to read and interpret electrical and electronic diagrams.
•Able to apply analytical and structured thinking to evaluate data and diagnose Set-Top-Box problems (Desirable).
•Able to work effectively alone or as part of team to meet challenging operational deadlines.
•Installs, tests, and repairs Set-Top-Box and related equipment for Direct-To-Home satellite signals, following specifications
