Your responsibilities will includeExamines patients and orders any necessary diagnostic testing. You will discuss the skin's condition with the patient and develops a treatment planTreat contact dermatitis and other types of allergies and irritations. You will determine the cause and help the patient with prevention methodPeople with chronic conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis often see dermatologists for assistance in alleviating symptoms with topical or oral medication, or preventative methodsDiagnose and treat various types of skin cancer, surgically removing tumors and suspicious moles, and performing biopsiesMay perform cosmetic surgery and treatments such as chemical peels, scar removal and Botox injections
