Human Resources Manager - Mawten Real Estate Co.

SUMMERY

Handle all aspects of HR, including recruitment, training, organization development, compensation and benefits as well as employee relations.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Participate in establishing the objectives and policies for Mawten.

- Develop and support new policies and procedures as well as organizational structures to improve the effectiveness of the company.

- Oversee implementation of relevant BoD directives, policies and procedures.

- Maintain a work environment which attracts, keeps, and motivates staff consisting of top quality people.

- Supervise others by assigning/directing work; conducting employee evaluations, staff training and development, taking appropriate disciplinary/corrective actions, making hiring/termination recommendations, etc.

- Ensure that comprehensive job descriptions are developed, remain current, and are communicated.

- Encourage staff development and education, and assist in relating their specialized work to the goals of the organization.

- Prepare an annual business plan for the department.

- Set goals and deadlines for the department.

- Prepare and review operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

- Analyze internal processes and recommend and implement procedural or policy changes to improve operations, such as supply changes or the disposal of records.

- Oversee procurement, distribution and storage of supplies.

- Advice CEO and Management Support Officer (MSO) on the main activities of the HR department, HR policies and procedures (P&P) and employee related issues;

- Develop HR strategies which support the overall business objectives of the company in conjunction with MSO.

- Develop and supervise the implementation of HR P&P in order to meet organizational needs.

- Monitor the effectiveness of the HR dept. and suggest improvements where necessary.

- Develop and propose annual plans and budget for the HR dept.

- Ensure compliance with labor rules and laws where applicable.

- Consolidate information received from dept. heads to prepare manpower plans and update them on regular basis.

- Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants;

- Determine and facilitate the need for job evaluation in coordination with dept. heads and senior managers;

- Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems;



- Maintain and update the necessary tools to provide HR support . Policy Manual, Employee Handbook etc.

- Provide current and prospective employees with information about P&Ps, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.

- Co-ordinate staffs’ Life and Medical Insurance related activities.

- Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications.

- Conduct exit interviews.

- Work closely with department managers to determine immediate and long-term staff requirements in terms of numbers and skill levels.

- Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.

- Work closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.

- Work closely with department managers to Identify training and development needs of employees.

- Organize staff training sessions including workshops and activities.

- Conduct Performance evaluation and develop pay and benefits systems for employees.
