Manage the implementation of track maintenance activities in his designated section, Ensure availability of all area sources and resources, Planning and scheduling of planned and unplanned work, Track Switch & Crossings Life Cycle recording, Carrying out quality inspections on jobs, Responsible for the continuous running (utilization) of equipment and machinery.
Due to the criticality of this role there are circumstances where might be times when on-call work may be required to ensure a safe passage of trains.
Responsibility over variety of teams e.g. switch cleaners and slope cleaning… etc. to ensure optimal utilization and therefore, track availability.
Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
