Responsibitlities:
- Producing new content and writing it in an interesting and appealing manner
- Maintaining the site once it is live and ensuring the information is accurate
- May take on the role of webmaster and be responsible for dealing with enquiries emailed from the site and overseeing any message boards
- Understanding of the special requirements of writing for the Web, such as the use of keywords, hyperlinks, navigation and the importance of brevity
- Gathering material from different websites, interpreting and translating, and re-writing
- Identifying suitable subjects for interview
- Incorporating written copy onto the website from other individuals or departments
- Maintaining the site once it is live and ensuring the information is accurate
- Developing editorial policies, copyright, data protection and best practice.
Work Environment:
- Friendly and open work environment that accepts creativity and welcomes new ideas on the table
- 40-hours/week 9:00am to 5:30pm Sunday to Thursday
- Stable job when performance is good. Company is 10 years old
