Job Summary:
To monitor the ongoing Mechanical & Piping activities by implementing the Project Quality Controls
Plans and Procedures in accordance with the Company QC procedures, International standards and specific Contract requirements.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for water treatment industrial processes, materials, and products: Develops, initiates, documents and maintain standards and methods for inspection, testing, evaluation and utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as Mechanical. Piping, Chemical and electrical.
2. To review the contract document prior to start of construction and prepare a QA plan & ITP.
3. Should possess thorough knowledge of preparation & implementation of Quality procedures, specification, QA Plans, test Plans, work procedures, knowledge of various International standards such as ASME, API, DIN, JIS, BS etc.
4. Should have knowledge on preparation of PQP, MS, ITP, QAP, Site Inspection report and Carryout Field inspections with client, Preparation of inspection report & obtain client acceptance.
5. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
6. Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
7. Shall be responsible for the establishment of a fully documented project quality system in line with the Contract requirements and company procedures covering construction, installation of equipments and Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning.
8. Must be at least certified as welding inspector CSWIP and / or ASNT level-II
9. Must know to prepare welding procedure (WPS/PQR/WPQ).
10. Must know to read drawings (ISOMETRIC/ P&ID/ AFC/LAY-OUT, GA DRAWING & Equipment Erection Drawings).
11. Knowledge & experience in Tank/ Vessel installation & onsite testing is required.
12. Knowledge & experience in water treatment equipment such as pumps, blowers, centrifuge, agitators etc. installation & alignment is required.
13. Knowledge & experience in EOT crane and other lifting machines installation & testing is required.
14. Knowledge & experience in SS pipe welding & HDPE welding, machines installation & testing is required.
15. Knowledge & experience in NDT
16. Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of Quality System outlined in Project Quality Plan / .
17. Confirm by effective audit and surveillance, adherence to applicable procedures and plans.
18. Liaise with customer representatives & 3rd parties ensuring product conformity and stage release for each activity denoted within the Project Quality Plan / ITP.
19. Documents and maintain the QA/QC related documents at all times during the project.
20. To initiate the RFI’s for Client’s witness of inspection points as per ITPs.
21. Interface with Subcontractor’s Quality Manager and ensure Quality compliance while work is taking place.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
2. Complies with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation of project.
